Patricia "Patty" Guarneri, a former longtime resident of Beacon and currently of Kingman, Arizona, entered into rest on March 13, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was 67 years old.
Patty was born on July 22, 1953 in Cold Spring, NY, the daughter of the late Theodore and Ruth Heady Reynolds. She graduated from Beacon High School. On February 13, 1982 she married the love of her life, Edward Guarneri, who upon meeting, she knew she'd spend the rest of her life with.
Patty grew up in Glenham, spent her adult life in Beacon and retired to Kingman, AZ, making life-long friends everywhere she went. She worked several jobs over the years including Tallix in Beacon in the Wax Room making molds, as a student aide in the Beacon City School District and also as an administrative assistant in the principal's office for the Newburgh Free Academy. Patty loved art and theatre, spending time at the Jersey Shore, playing the slot machines in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, and spending quality time with those around her. Her smile could light up a room, and her immense kindness impacted everyone she met. She opened her home and her heart without question. Throughout the three year battle she fought against cancer, her positivity and strength was truly amazing to behold. She was the strongest person any of us knew. She will be missed by all and will forever remain in our hearts.
Patty is survived by her husband, Edward Guarneri; her daughters, Lauren Guarneri and her husband, Andrew and Faye Guarneri and her fiancé, Jack Fisch; her sisters, Janet and her husband, Jimmy, Mary and Diane; her brother, Donald; her six brothers and sisters-in-law; her mother-in-law, Jean Guarneri; her many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather from 12 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
