Stephen W. Zeh, Jr. died in the early morning of Wednesday, December 30, 2020. He was 86 .
He was born on September 9, 1934 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Stephen W. and Sara Haney Zeh. Steve graduated from Port Jervis High School, then moved to Brookline, Massachusetts where he owned and managed multiple apartment buildings. He was a member of the Metaque Falls Sportsmen's Club. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and competitive beagle field trials, where he finished a number of Field Champion beagles. He also enjoyed spending weekends and summers at his property in Schoharie County, NY. Steve was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge in both Boston and Port Jervis. In his later years, he retired to his hometown of Port Jervis, eventually moving to Lynchburg Virginia be close to family in the last couple years of his life.
He is survived by his son, Stephen W. Zeh III of New Smyrna Beach FL, along with his wife, Donna and their children, Ava and Amelia; his son, John W. Zeh of Buckingham, VA, along with his wife, Kimberly and their children: Sara, Selah, John Wilson Jr., Esther, Hannah and Levi.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, July 5 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771. Graveside services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, July 6 at the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie, NY.
