Virginia Meuser Obituary
The daughter of Herbert W. Litts and Virginia Realmuto, she was born July 14, 1932 in Highland. She was married to Charles William Meuser, Jr., who predeceased her on May 22, 1967.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Elks Club in New Paltz, Mid Hudson Senior Citizens, Rebecca Lodge, Spanish American Club in Plattekill and St. Augustine RC Church in Highland.
Survivors include her daughter, Georgette Zimmerman and husband, Martin of Highland; three sons, Charles William Meuser III and wife, Karen of Highland, Ellis Litts Meuser and wife, Carla of Highland and Peter Spero Meuser and wife, Denise of Queens; grandchildren, Leona and Mike Anzalone, James and Christine Anzalone, Rebecca and William Auchmoody, Scott Anzalone, Alfred Zimmerman, Staci and Michael McGirr, Charles William Meuser IV, William and Elizabeth Meuser, Jessica Meuser, Ellis Meuser Jr., Christian Meuser, Peter Meuser Jr. and Sophia Meuser; great-grandchildren, Jordan Virginia Stearns, Ryan Charles Auchmoody, Marissa Elizabeth Anzalone, Christopher McGirr, Kassiddy Rose McGirr, Sean Patrick McGirr, Samantha Zayas, Madison Nicole Meuser and Faith Alexandra Meuser; two sisters, Frances Meuser and husband, William of Highland, Janet Onderdonk and husband, Harold of Florida; one brother, Herbert Litts and wife, Janet of Highland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by one sister, Bertha Spero, and one great-granddaughter, Hailey Lynne Meuser.
Calling hours are Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 38 Main St., Highland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 1, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Augustine R.C. Church in Highland. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Lloyd, Highland.
