Carolyn Ames, Beulah, passed away September 30, 2021, at the age of 79. Born in Frankfort to Everett and Fern Baker on July 22, 1942.
Carolyn has been reunited with her daughter Angela Ames, brother Richard Baker, sister Barbara Ann Baker, parents and niece Denise Smith.
Formally known as Carolyn Baker, she was given in marriage to James Ames in 1963, three years after graduating from Honor High School. After receiving a degree in Stenography from Davenport, she was employed by the Interlochen Arts Academy. Later after bearing her second child, she resigned from the Arts to help run the newly formed family Excavating business which she continued for the next 45 years.
She is survived by husband of 58 years James; son James (Katherine) Ames. Many other nieces, nephews, cousins and four special girls that called her "grandma".
A private family graveside will take place at Platte Township Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Jowett Family Funeral Home.

I use to work with Carolyn many years ago. She was always kind, caring and special. One of the nicest ladies I've ever known.
