Michael Andrew Heller, age 77, of Beulah, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025. Mike was born on September 29, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to Dallas and Beatrice Heller.
He was an Electrician and Industrial Fireman who retired from General Motors. In 1987, he and his family moved to Beulah to start several businesses in Benzie County. North Shore Video was the business closest to his heart because he saw most of the population of the county in a week's time.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diana; son Scott and wife Christa, granddaughters Sienna and Elise of North Bend, WA. He also leaves a sister Denise Lundgren and husband Larry of Concord, NH; sisters' in-law Penny Coutcher of Vassar, MI and Sheryl Gaebel of Caldonia, MI plus many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Some of his interests were fishing, woodworking, riding his motorcycle, rock collecting, and puttering around with anything that moved. It was said that "Mike could fix anything."
Family and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Life to be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday,
November 8, 2025 at the Benzonia Congregational Church in Benzonia, Michigan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may send a donation to the Benzie Senior Resources or to Bayside Wellness Hospice of Traverse City. With the help of these two organizations, they made his remaining time the best it could be on earth. Arrangements with Jowett Family Funeral Home, Benzonia.
