So sorry for your families loss. I knew Steve through performing pest control services for him and Mary. It was always a pleasure to visit their home and talk with him. I´ll miss those visits with him.

So sorry for your loss. I went to school with Steve at St Martin's. I heard of his passing from another school chum. Although I haven't seen Steve in many years, it is sad to hear of his passing. I will say a prayer for him and you, his family.

I am so very sorry that I missed the service. I would have loved seeing everyone and share a few stories about some crazy times I had while teaching with him in the middle school. Nothing I can share here unfortunately. Love and prayers to all of his family and friends. Steve will be missed by so many.

Steve and I shared the same birth year, but age before beauty does not apply here! So many family memories which I am rereading in the family Chronicle since Steve's passing. (written by Steve's brother, Tom) I hope that Kathy, Tom, Joe and Steve are now having a "heavenly" celebration together. Poker anyone? I miss "all" of you beyond words. Tim and family, I wish to convey my deepest, heartfelt condolences regarding the passing of your beloved father. He was a special man. He and your mom welcomed me into your family, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I fondly recall time spent with him. He consistently demonstrated charm, wit, and compassion. Those were special times for me. (When I initially relayed some related stories, you retorted: "That's the same guy who goes to local car dealers faking a car purchase just to sharpen his negotiation skills.") He undoubtedly touched many lives similarly. I wish you and your family strength during these difficult times. However, please be heartened by the fact that he and your mother raised strong kids, who celebrate a life well-lived. --Tony R. Laituri

Uncle Steve was a very special man who touched a lot of hearts and stomachs. I say stomachs because at our Family Reunions, early years, he would serve the best corn-on-the-cob that you ever had. Our fondest memory of Uncle Steve is when he and Aunt Mary Lou visited us in San Diego, California and we took a day trip down to Tijuana, Mexico. It was a real cultural shock but when we got home, we enjoyed the fruits of the trip - Kahlua Milkshakes. Rest-in-Peace Uncle Steve and say hi to Mom and Dad for us. I´m sure that you and Dad have already played a couple rounds of golf.

We will always treasure the great memories we enjoyed with Steve and Lou over the past 25 retirement years here in Frankfort/Elberta. Cross country skiing Old Indian Trail together, sharing spaghetti dinners, and working our tails off at Ace. We couldn´t have done it without Steve´s terrific personality and those nonstop jokes. He will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.
