Byron M. Shaw

Byron M. Shaw was born November 12, 1927, to Lola and Medford Shaw at home in Los Molinos, CA and went to be with his Lord on September 15, 2021.

Upon graduating Los Molinos high school he immediately enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Guam. After discharge he married his high school sweetheart, Jeanie Lemm of Vina, on September 4, 1948.

He owned a gas station/garage in Proberta for a few years where they started their family, then moved to Red Bluff where Byron used his mechanical skills at Stoll Auto Supply and Povey Chevrolet.

He was a skilled marksman and belonged to the Tehama County Sportsmans Association. He helped build the rifle range & co-founded Junior Rifle Club in the 60's. He was a certified NRA instructor, teaching many kids hunter safety skills which enabled them to receive a hunting license.

In the 70's Byron graduated from Shasta Bible Institute and was ordained as a lay minister, serving as a pastor and teacher at Sunrise Bible Fellowship.

He was active with the Tehama County Veterans of Foreign Wars and served with the Tehama County Honor Guard for many years.

Byron was husband to Jeanie for 73 years; father to daughters Shirley (Randy Huber) of Corvallis, OR, and Denise (Greg) Boehle of Redding, CA, and son Leonard (Terri) of Anderson, CA; grandpa to Kelly Reed Devine, Chad Huber, and Alecia, Katie & Sam Shaw; grandpa-great to Broderick, Dylan, Claire, and Layla.

Jeanie....I want you to know that you and Byron hold a very special and precious place in my heart...you were both one of the most Godly influences in my life...although I have not seen you folks lately...on this day my thoughts go back to your smile...Byron's laugh...I can not put into words my love in the Lord for you both...how God used you and Byron in my life...you and Byron will always have a special place in my life...may the Lord bless and comfort you at this time...
