Brad Dupre

Age 62

Brad Wyatt Dupré was born on November 24, 1952 in Compton, California. He went to elementary school in Happy Valley and in Redding. Brad graduated from Enterprise High School in 1971, and worked for the Redding School District. He met Cindy Martin in 1982, and they married in 1986. Brad then enrolled in Shasta College, and graduated with an Associate in Arts degree in natural resources. He received straight A's in his field of study. Brad's passion was protecting Mother Earth. While he was at Shasta College, he took ceramics and glassblowing classes, which he enjoyed very much. Brad became a tutor for the Basic Reading classes at Shasta College and then at the Local Indians for Education in Shasta Lake. He has always liked writing songs and playing his guitar. Brad entered the spirit world on June 4, 2015.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 10-2 at Jean Beaudet Community Center on Median Avenue in Shasta Lake. Bring finger foods to share with friends.

I first met Brad through the Dungbeetle Clan. He was always a true gentleman, warm, gracious, and outgoing. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. His loving presence will be missed by us all.

I met Brad at Camp Mather for Strawberry many years ago and after his heart attack he was unable to attend because of distance and elevation. We kept in contact mostly on line and occasionally at a Dung Beetle functions and he always brought his guitar. Music was a part of Brad as well as his joy of life and sense of humor. I always enjoyed spending time with him and got to accompany him on many of his songs. The music lives on forever and I will always remember his bright smile.

Where did time go? Brad has always been in our lives. The saying, "Old friends die young," rings true to remind me that you carry special people you have know in your heart forever. Their passing will always seem to be too soon. Thank you Brad for your laughter, sense of humor, your honor to those you loved, and opinions, which you provided with enthusiasm! you have inspired many people to sing, to play, to learn to read.

Thank you for the time spent with us on IRC Brad. As I have told people they respond, ".. he was my friend here", That seems to me to be the best tribute.

Thank you for being there for me when I needed support.

".. and but for the sky, there are no fences facing"

Peace
