Abuelita,
You always brought smiles and laughs to my face and to my heart. You took my poor street Spanish and fixed it up when you were away at times in Ecuador. I always loved receiving your letters back that I had to translate! I always tried my hardest to make sure you had something legible to read in return! My Spanish improved a lot since then.
When we spoke on Thanksgiving, you still continued to make me laugh right through my heart and soul for those few brief words... "Buen dia, gobble, gobble" has made me smile ever since and that is how I will always remember you--full of love and laughter.
Carmen, Dad, Taz, Luigi and families,
My heart to goes out to each of you. Take care of one another and keep the love and laughs going strong. It's all on you to carry on the things Abuelita imbued in all of us--to love life.
Our deepest condolences to you. May you find the strength of peace in the coming days.
