Darell Orr Obituary
Darell B. Orr
Darell was born on May 31, 1944
and left this world on June 10, 2009 to be with the Lord and to go fishing on the other side.
Darell retired from the Santa Fe Railroad and moved to Redding to enjoy his love for bass fishing.
He loved life as long as he had on his cowboy boots, a country song and a fishing pole in his hand. Darell will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Mountain Gate Community Church 15481 Wonderland Blvd. June 20th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association at 1710 Gilbreath Rd. Burlingame, CA 95010-7795 or

You have been a good friend for many years. We have so many memories of great times together. I still hear you chuckling when I told you that I finally outfished Kelly. Since we are the proud owners of your Dad's fishing boat, I know you will find your way there and smile when you see that I have done it again!

Darell was an all around great person and an awsome fishing partner. We shared the joy of bass fishing and country music. Darell you taught me a lot about Lake Shasta, and my first trip to Shasta was with you and your family. I enjoyed you as a neighbor in Fresno and the 10 years we fished team tournaments. I wished we could have spent more years fishing together, however the good life called and you were able to live out your dreams at Lake Shasta. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.
