David Smith passed away October 28, 2015 at home in White City, OR.

Memorial will be held 11:30am, 11/07/2015 @ Medford Friends Church 525 De Barr Ave, Medford, OR 97501. Officiating is Pastor Jesse Davis.

David was born 04/28/1953 Redding, CA to parents Carol (Coenen) Smith and Leonard Smith (both deceased)

David married Leslie Collard 09/30/2000 in Applegate, OR.

David attended Anderson Union High School class of 1971. He went on to Shasta College obtaining an AA degree in automotive technologies in 1973.

David got his start in automotives at the Elsemore Auto Repair in Anderson from 1969-1974. From 1974 to 1989 he worked at several dealerships in Redding, CA until 1989. In 1989 he started working at Southern Oregon Subaru Volvo Mitsubishi in Medford, Oregon as a Volvo Master technician until January 2014 when he retired.

David enjoyed stock car racing with his family in the early years, NASCAR, camping, jet skiing, ranching and helping others.

David leaves his loving wife Leslie (Collard) Smith, sons Michael (Holly) Smith, Troy (Holly) Smith, daughter Chrystal Comer, sister Lianne (Jerry) Watkins, brother G. Todd (Fran) Smith, step sons Matthew (Haley Wamsley) Hamilton, Grant Hamilton, and 12 grandchildren.

Preceded in death Leonard Smith (father) Carol (Coenen) Smith (mother) and Cindy (Coenen) Bills (cousin)

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Duke University in the name of David Allen Smith, toward primary brain and spinal cord tumors.
