Jim & LaDonn were in Bill & I (LaVerne Winter's) life for over 50 years. We went on many vacations together, mostly fishing trips. Jim thought I was one of the best fish fryers there was. Had many happy memories. He and Bill were close buddies.
Glad he found some one like Jenny to be happy with for his last years. Love, LaVerne

I just wanted to tell you how sweet I always thought Uncle Jim was to the nieces. He always showed us a great time and made us all feel very special. I remember when we both went for the tea glass and I had to have stitches. He was so sweet to me. That was a great trip and one I will cherish always. I always loved Uncle Jim and Aunt LaDonn. I just wish I could have seen them more. God Bless you all.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed our little trip up and down the coast with Uncle Jim. Up at the crack of dawn and out till all hours of the night listening to nothing but country western tunes that we all thought were hideous at the time. What fun, though. He always made sure you had a good time. I will also never forget the time we were out there visiting and his favorite dog ran right through the screen door. He wanted to enjoy being around him too. He was a great uncle and I always had a great time whenever we saw them.

I always loved visiting Uncle Jim in California. I said he missed his calling as a tour guide. He always took us to the neatest places. He was always so happy and fun to be around, it was infectious.
I always liked it when he called me his "favorite niece", even though I knew he called Holly, Cindy, Corrie and Laurie his favorite niece also. I well surely miss my favorite Uncle.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Janet, Louis, and Carol.

To Jim's Family,
My sincere sympathy goes out to you. I lived across the street from him and remember his humor and cheerful personality. He liked to tease me about my clunker old Chevy truck... "Ahh, you'll never get that old thing running (smiling)". I told him someday I'd be driving over and honking for him to come out for a ride! After many years...this February it was restored and will be entered in the Kool April Nites Cruise. I will sure miss seeing the look on his face...and hearing him chuckle.
He spoke proudly of his family and always seemed so happy...
So sorry to hear the news,
Dee Wilson

To Jenny and all of Jim’s family:
Jim’s contribution to our own wonderful “Book of Memories” is a page of “More’s”: We have never met a person more supportive; more positive; more openly complimentary; more of a joy to be around. Furthermore, everyone that we talk to seem to agree with our assessment of Jim. This is Jim’s legacy to us and what a legacy it is. What an honor to have known Jim and how terribly he will be missed. How we do appreciate his contribution to the Anderson Senior Club. How happy we are that we got to know him and how sorry we are for his loss to all of his family and his friends . He will not be soon forgotten.

Lou & Family,
I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. I remember his presence when the club met in your office. Jim's was always smiling and had a joke to tell. It's make me smile when I think of him. Time to heal and make happy memories of your father.
