Grace Katherine Webster, seven years old, of Anderson, California, died Sunday, December 11, 2011.
Gracie was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2003 in San Jose, California to Perry and Erica Webster.
Gracie was loved by her parents, Perry and Erica Webster, her sister Sarah, 6, and her brother Garrett, 3. She was also loved by her great grandmother, Sue Jordan of Auburn, California, grandmother and grandfather Susan and Mike Jackson of Destin, Florida, grandfather John Gibb of Oakland, California, and grandfather and grandmother Mike and Sharen Webster of Redding, California. Gracie leaves several aunts and uncles: Mike Jackson of Tampa, Florida, Tony and Dawn Jackson of Thornton, Colorado, Renee Webster of Fair Oaks, California, Michelle and Mike Robinson of Anderson, California and Lewis and Lori Webster of San Jose, California. Gracie also was loved by her five cousins, Emily and Andrew Robinson of Anderson, Zane and Cole Webster of San Jose, Lily Jackson of Thornton, Colorado and her beloved nanny, Mandy Gray Gelms of Redding. Gracie was also blessed to have had the love, support and prayers of many other dear relatives and friends. Gracie attended Verde Vale Elementary School in Anderson.
After nearly 8 years of a courageous battle with a seizure-causing brain tumor, Gracie passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with her mother and father at her side, on Sunday morning. Gracie brought joy to the lives of those who loved her with her gentle smile and loving personality. Gracie loved going to school, making jewelry, doing puzzles and taking care of her baby dolls. She was a great big sister and simply wanted to make sure her sister and brother were happy every day. We were blessed to have her in our lives and she showed all who knew her that even in the tough times all of us can find moments of immense happiness and joy.
Services will be held at Allen and Dahl Funeral Chapel, 9100 Deschutes Road, Palo Cedro, at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 with burial following at Anderson Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Grace's name may be made to Hope for Hypothalamic Hamartomas (hopeforhh.org) or donation for the family through Alyssa Araiza Wings of Angels (alyssaswingsofangels.org).

What a beautiful child and precious soul. What a brave family. I worked in her summer school class in 2011. She was a little light who touched everyone in some way. We were so sad to hear of her passing.

Reading Grace's story has touched my life and made me realize how much I take my children's life for granted. Her story has blessed me tremendously and I want to go home and hug my four children and tell them how much I love them, the next time they do something that usually gets under my skin I am going to take a deep breath and think of Grace and be thankful for every second I have with them. I thought I had written in here before but am figuring that after reading her journey I may have stepped back and just mourned this beautiful loss we all feel. My name is Kerri and my daughter Kallyn looks like she could be Graces sister. We have been going thru the challenges of HH with her for 1 1/2 years now and had the Transcolossal surgery December 1, 2011 in Phoenix. Kallyns only difficulty after has been excessive weight gain and humger and short term memory loss. We have recently noticed a starting of anger and serious emotional outbreaks of crying that have us wondering if we are headed into a bad direction. They too said her tumor was fully resected. It only takes one cell left to start growing again. This is something you are readily aware of. I am scared after reading your journey and challenges and seeing how much our beautiful babies are so alike. I would love to know where you are and speak to you. We are all with you in prayers everyday with regards to your loss. Kallyn and I are traveling back to Phoenix on the 10th of December for some more tests to see how her recovery is going from the inside. I hope your recovery is going well. I can't imagine your loss. Actually, I am wrong, I can imagine it. I am certain every HH family can, but I hope our pryaers help you to endure.

Grace, a young girl with strenghth and courage beyond your years. We are the family of Jadyn Schlauch. Her story is also part of the the website hopeforhh. Jadyn has been seizure free 1.5 yrs since the surgery. Today we were told we can reduce her dose of seizure meds each week. Then, Grace's story came up on my Facebook. We are so sorry for ur loss and pray for your family to continue to be strong. I am so very sorry for your loss, I was on my Face book account and this came up as I have a 16 year old son with Epilepsy so I belong to the site. I cann't even imagine your pain what you must be going through, I know each and every day we worry about our son but this is not about him.....
