I am the current owner of Jill's former residence (that turned 100 years old this year!) on Hickory Street, near Red Bluff High School. I have only heard wonderful things about Jill and her life, although I never know about her devotion to God...it would make sense that my house didn't feel like home until I hung artwork with quotes from the Bible!
"Give Thanks"-Thessalonians 3:15
And blessed I have felt living in her former home, with all of the love she left behind.
Thanks for all the love Jill, heaven is cheering now that you are truly home.

Mrs. Haakonson was my Sunday School Teacher at Community Baptist Church more than forty years ago. I ran into her a few years back after not seeing her for forever. She recognized me immediately and we had a wonderful conversation about life and faith. It was obvious that her love of God had only grown stronger in the years since I'd last spoken with her. She was a true believer who loved her Lord and loved her family. A heart for God, a love for people, and a passion for God's word-thank you Mrs. Haakonson.

I wish to express my condolences to Jill's loved ones. Now, in this reflective mood, I look back and smile as I remember childhood time with my neighbors, the Haakonson clan. Both your parents were influential and important people during my growing-up years and as I matured and they grew older they remained very dear to me.
I thank Jill for fond memories and for her concern for my well being, especially after the death of my husband and earlier this year after the death of my mother.
With love,
