Dear Barker Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always be grateful for knowing both John and Jean. John was manager of Shasta County Bank (now Tri-Counties) in Cottonwood when I went to work there in 1979. He was such a wonderful person, and a great boss who always treated his employee's with care and respect, and was devoted to his community. I will always remember John and Jean and the wonderful memories of many bank celebrations in their beautiful home where they made you feel like family. May the memories of your father's love be with you and comfort you at this time. My thoughts and prayer's are with you and your family.

Dear Barker family, It is with great sadness that I read about John's death. I served as an elder with John at Risen King Community Church for many years. I will always remember his great compassion and love for all. That love was demonstrated to me and my family many times. He was a man of great wisdom as well and his life of service to both Little Country and to Risen King is a legacy few men are able to leave. My wife Grethe and I both now live in Seattle where we pastor a church up here. The years spent with John as an elder enriched my work as a pastor as well. Again, I am so sorry for your loss of a father and grandfather and a great man of God.

I am so sorry for your loss. John was a good man as you know. I knew him when I worked at Tri-Counties Bank in Cottonwood, then called Shasta Bank. He always had a nice greeting to all and a smile on his face that made you want to come to work.
