aMy Dear Dad & Father.... you are greatly missed and we will always remember your kindness and your ability to make everything right in any situation. You raised Robert and I to the best of your ability and always found a way to make us smile and laugh. You were so funny and goofy and brought out the goodness in all. I've been going over pictures of our childhood and upbringing with you and Mom, and I will always hold those memories as dear sentiments to the heart. Mom was not at your Memorial, but, she did want me to tell you she prays for you and will see you again soon on the other side. She wants me to wish for a Dance with you and the Angels above and to let you know that she cares very much about you.
With love,
Your Daughter Raelyn "LaLa"

Robert, I am truly sorry for your loss. I never met a man who gave so much to others and asked nothing in return. Including the room he rented to me and gave his room to you and then slept in the living room. The most giving person I have ever met. Stay strong, stay Robert. Love you man.

Robert your dad was a man who sacrificed so much. He gave me a room to stay in and moved into the living room so you could have his room. I never met anyone who would do so much for nothing in return. I am truly sorry for your loss. Stay strong, stay Robert.

Distance may have kept us separated for most of the last 50 years but it did not change our feelings for each other. John was a very caring and compassionate person from a very early age and that never changed. He almost always put others needs before his own and managed to keep his sense of humor and justice through it all. I recall one Christmas when we were young teens how he took his savings from his paper route and I from my baby sitting and we bought a console stereo set for the family. A big sacrifice for a teen boy especially but in his mind it was the right thing to do. He was always my best buddy growing up. Lots of great memories for me as his younger sister. I know he was loved and admired by all who knew him. He will be missed but not forgotten. My sorrow is that I did not get to visit with him more. My peace is that his soul is in eternal love and rest.

John took me in when I needed a place to live in my late teens. I remember when we got in trouble from John because the small party we had turned into a fight. When John arrived home to see the damage that occured I remember how calm and collected he was. He was one of the nicest person I've ever known in my life.
