Joseph Hockert III, 74 of Darby, MT passed away November 16, 2013 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Center. He was born January 29, 1939 in St. Cloud, MN to Joseph J. Hockert II and Viva Agnes Hobbs.

Joe graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1958. He enlisted in the USAF the following year and served 5 years.

Joe was an electrician working for PG&E in California until his retirement in December 1994. He attended Grace Chapel of Darby. He was a little league coach and a Civil War reenactor.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine.

Surviving include his wife, Sandra of Darby; son, Scott (Beckie) Hockert and their children, Ryne and Lorisa; daughter, Tazina (James) Otis and their children, Tamra (Jeremy), Evan and Zach; daughter, Donna (Charlie) Miller and their children, Aliscia (Derick), Tommy (Melissa), Stephanie (David), and Hannah (Colby); daughter, Dana (Dave) Englert and their children, Tina, Chris, Jason (Sandra) Caleb; son, David and fiance' (Paula) Beaudry and children Aaron and Nicole; sister, Kay Huffaker; brothers, Rich Hockert and Doug (Lorna) Hockert; and numerous great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Lone Pine Cemetery in Darby with Pastor Dan Wagenmann officiating. Military honors will be provided by the US Air Force, Marine Corps League- Bitterroot Detachment and the Hamilton American Legion. A reception will follow at the Darby Clubhouse. The family suggests memorials to the Marcus Daly Hospice Endowment Fund or the Darby Bread Box, 206 E Tanner Ave, Darby, MT 59829.

Dear family..i have wonderful memories of you and your mom and dad.

So sorry for your loss to the Hockert family. I knew Joe and Elaine and spent many a fun time at the dinner table in Cottonwood, CA. Joe was a sweet person and always cheerful. God Speed Joe.
