A funeral service will be held for Marjorie Anne Riley, 94 of Chico, on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Brusie Funeral Home in Chico. She passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Chico.
Marjorie was born on August 31, 1918 to Henry and Lucy Riley in Medford, OR and was raised in Dunsmuir. During WWII Marjorie served in the Navy as Petty Officer 3rd Class in the WAVES. She then attended and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. Marjorie worked for the Marconi - English Electric Co. in New York City and the Renaissance Society of America at Columbia University. She retired in 1983 and moved to Chico in 1989. Marjorie was a member of Our Divine Savior Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister Patricia Woods of Redding, several nieces and nephews and was also sister to the late Philip and James Riley and Dorothy Engelbert.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Shasta Memorial Park in Mt. Shasta.
