Mitchell Willard Isner

1963 – 2011
Mitch Isner was born on November 8th, 1963 and he passed away on April 23rd, 2011 while vacationing in the Bahamas. Mitch was a long time resident of Redding, and he prized the many relationships he had in the local community. He graduated from Central Valley High School in 1981 and built a successful financial consulting and tax preparation business, providing services to individuals and business clients throughout California. Mitch was a lifelong baseball fan, even coaching family members in the sport over the years. He favored Hawaiian sunsets, golfing, good red wine, fine jazz music and long talks with family and friends. He was a cooking enthusiast and generously shared the bounty of his hobby. He also shared generously with multiple charitable organizations. He was a staunch supporter of the small business, an avid reader, and a passionate dad.
Mitch was adored and admired by many. He is survived by his daughters Megan and Jordan Isner, his wife Migdalia Isner, his dad, William Tonkin, his brother, Griffith Tonkin, his sisters Michele Higgins and Jessica Isner, his grandmother, Pearl Griffith, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that loved him and will miss him greatly.
A celebration of Mitch's life will be held May 7th in a gathering of friends and family from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Market Street Steakhouse (1777 Market Street) in Redding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of his children to the Mitchell Isner Memorial Fund at the Enterprise Office of Wells Fargo Bank (830 East Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA, 96002).
