Robert (Bob) Morton Haughs

Redding - Robert (Bob) Morton Haughs, 98, of Redding California passed away on October 22, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his Family.

He was born November 20, 1921 in Cape May, New Jersey to parents Frederick and Clara Haughs. He was the eldest of two children.

He proudly served in the United States Army in World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a Captain.

Bob married his first wife, Anna (Gibson) Haughs, in 1942 and had three children: Robert, Elizabeth, David. Bob married his second wife, Judy (Duncan) Haughs, in 1971. She has three children and helped raise her son Allen and adopted and raised her daughter Stephanie. He later helped raise their granddaughter Lindsay.

Bob enjoyed woodworking and spent many hours in his woodshop behind the house he passed this love on to his sons and his grandson. He worked with Judy in the operation of R & B Sharpening in Anderson, California, until his retirement in 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Clara Haughs, and his first wife Anna (Gibson) Haughs

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Duncan) Haughs, and his children Robert Douglas ( Donna) Haughs, Elizabeth Anna Cochran, David Norman (Patti) Haughs, Allen Duncan, Stephanie (Pete) Jeppesen, Kim (David) Anderson and his sister Helen Demerest. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer (Harold) Baker, David (Jennifer) Haughs, Amanda (Scott) Denman, Sarah Haughs, Lindsay Duncan, Jonathan Miller and Breanne Velasques and his great grandchildren Samantha Coomler, Sidney Haughs, Benjamin Haughs, Sean Zeffer, Taylor McKenzie. Two nieces Bonnie, Sally, one nephew Rusty.

Robert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Redding, California.

Robert will be interred at The Northern California Veterans Cemetery. There will not be any services.
