Rip was a wonderful friend for years. Every thursday night four of us ladies would go to dinner at the Green Barn and Rip would wait on us and spoil us and make us laugh. We loved him so that I invited him to our Christmas party and he came. Then we invited him to Pinkie's birthday parties. How Pinkie loved him. We enjoyed and love this kind man so much and will miss his smile and kindness. He talked about his family and how much they meant to him.
Thank you for sharing him with us.
Rest in peace Rip.

So many fun, great memories. I moved to Burney in my 12th year, 8th grade class. Rip and I became best friends, did so many crazy care free things. We had our little gang (is that politically correct?) There was Barb, Kenny, Joyce ,Joan, Judy, Jane, Rip and myself.
Now there are 3 in our group no longer here. For us remaining I love you, have much happiness and let's keep in touch. I love you always dear friend. Sandy (Peanuts)

We met Rip through the Green Barn. We would often join my parents for dinner with our four small children. Rip always made it enjoyable. He loved our kids and they loved him. He used to throw corks at our son Cordell. Cordell collected them but also threw them back sometimes. And my girls loved drawing him pictures too. They were so excited when he displayed them up on the bar. We will miss Rip. He was a great man.

We were sorry to hear about Rip's passing. He was the shining star at the Green Barn. Everyone was Rip's friend and it showed in the way he treated people. Quick to smile and tell a joke, he always made us feel welcome. We were sad to see him leave the Green Barn, but understood he was ready to spend time with Spade and family. Rest in peace, Rip, you were loved and will be missed by many.

It was an honor to know Rip. He was the reason we went to the Green Barn. He was charming and gracious, a truly good man. Our condolences, Mike and Margaret Blaney
