Ryan Lewis Obituary

Ryan David Lewis passed away on March 22, 2009 at the age of 28.
Ryan was born January 13, 1981, in Redding. He lived almost all of his life in Redding, except while attending Humboldt State in Eureka. He was involved in all of the things children growing up here enjoy, including youth soccer, youth baseball, cub scouts, boy scouts, and school sports, making many friends along the way. Besides Humboldt State, Ryan attended school at Grant Elementary, Shasta High School and Shasta College. Ryan is survived by his daughter Madison, the center of his life, his wife Crystal, his parents Mike and Debbie Lewis, his sister Katie Lewis, his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Meagan Lewis, and his grandparents, James and Mary Lewis, all of Redding. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who all grew up together at large family gatherings throughout the years.
He will be welcomed by his uncle Jeff and cousin Matthew who preceded him in death. Ryan loved all of the activities this area has to offer, including baseball, football, snow boarding, wake boarding and hunting. His loss will be felt by the many people his life touched throughout his short time with us.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Allen and Dahl Chapel in Palo Cedro.

Although I didn't know Ryan very well, he was one of my brother's best friends in high school. He came to my family's house every once in a while and I occasionally saw him in town. I had the opportunity of meeting his beautiful daughter at the fair last year when I was there with my son. Ryan was always so kind and I know he was a great guy. What a tremendous loss. To Ryan's family and friends: I am so very sorry and offer my deepest sympathy and condolences

My heart goes out to Ryan's family. I went to High School with Ryan and Pat and had a great relationship with both. He is a great guy and will be missed immensely. Unfortunately I will be unable to make it to the Memorial because I currently live in San Diego and work won't allow me to take time off to attend. My condolences go out to Pat, Crystal, Madison and all the rest of his family and friends. Rest in peace Ryan… You will be missed bro…

Our deepest sympathies are with you all. Ryan was a bright light of sunshine to all who knew him, and will be missed.
