Mount Vernon - Wendy Corrine McBride, 58, of Mount Vernon, WA, passed away at her home Saturday morning, December, 26th, 2020, after a short illness. Wendy was born December 10th, 1962, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Charles and Vela McBride. She is survived by her sister Laurel Villasana and her husband Guilly of Lompoc, CA and 3 brothers, John McBride and his wife Gwen of Oakley, CA, Kevin McBride and his wife Rachel, of Mount Vernon, WA and Daniel Hammer and his wife Courtney, of Lynnwood, WA.

Wendy was a much loved sister and aunt. She loved her extended family and her many cherished nieces and nephews: Alejandro and wife Jennifer Villasana, Antonio Villasana and Melanie Villasana; Stephanie and husband Todd Naffziger; Tessa and her husband Benson Stiles, Spencer McBride and Jazlyn McBride; Evan Hammer; and her great nieces Sofia, Neala, Tesla and Baylee. Wendy is also survived by several cousins.

Wendy grew up and attended high school in Anderson, CA. After graduating from cosmetology school she moved to Mount Vernon, WA where she lived for the past 20 years. Wendy loved singing, music and socializing with her family. One of Wendy's favorite songs was "Till the Next Goodbye", and the lyric "Till the next time that we say good bye" will now be forever in our hearts with Wendy's name lovingly attached. Everyone that knew Wendy considered her a fierce and loyal friend.

We appreciate everyone that has expressed their heart felt thoughts and condolences. On January 8th, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM there will be a viewing at Kern Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Oak Harbor, WA. A memorial in celebration of Wendy's life for family and friends will be announced at a future date.
