CHARLES TEMPLIN Obituary
Charles Templin, 78, of Redlands, California passed away on December 22, 2015 at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla. Born in Salinas, Kansas to Claude and Isabel Templin, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years before retiring in Southern California. Charles is survived by his wife Lois; sister Janice Templin Johnston; daughter Maya (Dan) Williams; sons Blair (Ruth) Templin, Brian (Editha) Templin and Daniel (Christy) Templin and many loving grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He was very proud of each of them and loved them all very much. He finished his career in the military working in the medical field and then after retiring became a teacher and coach in Riverside and Redlands. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed sports, whether as a coach, a competitor, or an observer. He has always been active in church, most recently at Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland for the past twelve years. He has been a Sunday school teacher, a youth leader, an Awana volunteer, and an altar counselor. His relationship with Jesus Christ was an extremely important part of who he was and he is in heaven with Him now.
Visitation will be held for family and friends Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 4 pm - 8 pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA 92373. Services with military honors will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 9:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery and will be followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00pm the same day, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 Base Line, Highland, CA 92346.

So sorry to here the sad news...we will certainly miss his presence in our everyday life. He was special man and know you will really feel his loss ,Lois. My heart goes out to you Lois my dear Neighbor/friend for 25 plus years...and family. I have been so blessed to have you for neighbors and friends. I will miss that sweet man...all the morning waves as I go off to work. He was always kind and treated us like family. Chuck you will forever be missed by us you left behind. Lois Your a forever friend. I loved you both like family. I am always hear for you Lois. I know how hard this is...I am praying for all whom he left behind...that your hearts be comforted in this time of loss and grief.

We got to know Chuck briefly while visiting Mom (Sharon Smith). He was a very wonderful, warm and friendly man. I'm sure a wonderful husband and father as well. To all the family, and you, Lois we extend our deepest sympathy. Even though we know where Chuck is, it is still hard to be without him. May the peace of the Christ child born this Christmas bring you comfort and also joy knowing he is no longer hurting and is in heaven with our Lord. We love you and are sorry we cannot be with you at this time of grieving and celebrating his life. God bless all of you.

I have a lot of memories of my Uncle Chuck but I guess the one that stands out the most is our mutual love of the game of tennis....Every time I went to Texas to visit the family we would play and with both of us being very competitive it got pretty serious...So Uncle Chuck I hope that you are playing a good game of tennis!!!!
