Thomas Perkins Obituary

Thomas Perkins, 58, Des Moines, passed away July 7, 2022, after a fierce battle with COVID and related complications.
Tom graduated from Stanton High School in 1982 as an active member of FFA and a lifelong athlete and fan of sports. Tom went on to graduate from Iowa Lakes College and explored several jobs before finding his passion as an outdoor salesman, including 17 years at Prairie Ag Supply.
He was incredibly proud to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather to be an active member of the Gnemeth Masonic Lodge in West Des Moines. His favorite pastimes revolved around his family and his farm and cows in Madison County.
Tom is survived by his wife Sande of 30 years; his daughters, Kelli Morton, Des Moines, and Karrie (Tom) Daniels, Ames; his grandchildren, Joanna Wright, Ames; Will Daniels, Ames; and Lukas (Evan) Daniels-Day, Los Angeles, Calif.; his parents, Leland and Liz Perkins; and brothers Kevin, Matt, and Benji; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Morton; his grandparents; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tom will be remembered during a Celebration of Life on Aug. 10 at The Hall (111 South 11th St., West Des Moines, 50265) 6-9 p.m.
