ARDEN ARTHUR REEK Arden Arthur Reek, 89, of Redwood Falls passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at River Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Redwood Falls. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Evangelical Free Church of Redwood Falls with burial to follow in Middle Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 at the church. The Nelson-Hillestad Funeral and Cremation Service of Morgan and Redwood Falls are in charge of the arrangements. E-mail condolences may be sent via www.nelson-hillestad.com. Arden was born on December 3, 1935, in the township of Flora to Arthur and Marie (Barber) Reek. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to serving others. He worked in the factory business with Unipress Company and Tennent Company and retired in 1989. Arden moved to several places; one in Minneapolis then to Paxton Township (the farm place) and in 1999 settled in Redwood Falls. Arden had a kind and loving personality, always cherishing his family. He is survived by his son Roger and Judy Reek of Redwood Falls, brother Bennett Reek of St. Louis, Mo., and sister Jeanette Gens of Venus, Fla., two grandchildren, Isaac and John Reek. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arthur and Marie Reek; his wife Viola who died in 2020. He surely was welcomed with open arms. Arden will be remembered for his warmth, community spirit, and the love he spread throughout his life. In remembering Arden, we celebrate a life lived fully, a spirit that brought joy to countless others, and a bond that will eternally remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
