GARALD STEFFL Obituary

GARALD "GARY" STEFFL Garald "Gary" Steffl, 86, resident of the MN Veterans Home in Luverne, formerly of Shakopee, entered eternal life on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Luverne. He was born on March 8, 1938, in Three Lakes Township, the son of Carl and Lucent (Goblisch) Steffl. Gary proudly served in the United States Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard. Gary married Jan Schwint in November of 1964. Together they enjoyed 40 years of camping on Lake Osakis and they both were happiest when family and friends joined them at the campground. He also liked fishing, watching and feeding squirrels, and collecting mini-John Deere tractors and other knickknacks. He would putz and make his own tools to solve problems around the house. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Jan; parents, Carl and Lucent Steffl; brother, Charles (Joanie) Steffl; brothers-in-law, Bob Kidrowski and John Riederer. He is survived by son and daughters, Kevin (Michelle), Lori Steffl and Sheri Steffl; grandchildren, Juliana Steffl, Kayla (Brandon) Koster, Alex Steffl and Kelsie Steffl; sisters, Dorothy Kidrowski and Joann Riederer. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 12 - 1 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Church of St. Mark, 350 Atwood St. South, Shakopee.
