Carson Beaman Obituary

SNOW HILL - Mr. Carson Edward Beaman, 69, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service today at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. David Hines and the Rev. Alan Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at the Snow Hill Cemetery. Beaman was born June 9, 1937, in Greene County, the son of Rom William Beaman and Minnie Wells Beaman. He graduated from Maury High School and Atlantic Christian College and was retired from farming. Beaman was an active supporter of the public schools and athletic programs in Greene County, serving four terms on the Greene County Board of Education and volunteering countless hours with the Greene Central Athletic Boosters and other community sports programs for young people. He was an active member of Free Union Original Free Will Baptist Church. Beaman was predeceased by his brothers, Rom William Beaman Jr. and William Clayton Beaman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wynne Seymour Beaman of the home; sons, Carson Edward "Collyn" Beaman Jr. and wife, Susan Sugg Beaman, of Snow Hill, Brian Steve Bostick and wife, Lori Howard Bostick, of Arba; grandchildren Carson Edward "Trey" Beaman III, Haley Elizabeth Beaman, and Anna Grace Bostick; sister, Ann Beaman Hedgepeth of Raleigh; and many nieces and nephews, extended family, and close friends. The family will receive friends at the Beaman home, 1156 Hwy 91 N, Snow Hill. Memorials may be made to Free Union OFWB Church Building Fund, c/o Kay Tugwell, 2573 Firetower Road, Walstonburg, NC 27888. Arrangements by Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service.

My thoughts and prayers go out to each of Mr. Carson's family today. His sense of humor and wit were always a refreshing addition to conversation and fellowship. I know you will miss him dearly, but you are blessed to have many fond memories to carry you through the coming days. God bless you all.

I have thought about all of you and ask about you often thru my sister, Jennifer Beaman, that loved Carson "Bud" so much. You have all been in my prayers during his illness. He was quite a remarkable man, just treasure every memory.
