Charles Moore Obituary

Mr. Charles Edward "Chuck" Moore, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Moore, a native of Moundsville, W.Va., was born on July 31, 1925. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force during World War II. He was employed with IBM for 36 years, retiring in 1983 as an executive engineer. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, the Golden K Kiwanis Club, Triangle Woodworkers Association and the Coffee Club.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Doris Ann Moore; sons, James T. Moore and wife, Cindy of Owego, N.Y., Roy B. Moore and wife, Kathy, of Richmond, Va., Ty Moore and wife, Marsha, of Greenville; daughter, Margaret Dixon and husband, F.A. of Greenville; brother, Bruce Moore of Moundsville, W.Va.; sisters, Betty Patterson of West Virginia and Mary Barham of Florida; grandchildren, Charlie Moore of Grottves, Va., Lydia McCovoy of Marathon, N.Y., Brian Moore of Owego, N.Y., Abigail Dixon of Whillets, Calif., John Dixon of Greenville, and Matthew Moore of Kill Devil Hills; and great-grandchild, Ayden McCovoy.
Memorial contributions may be made to Golden K Kiwanis Club of Greenville, Chuck Moore Scholarship Fund, 329 Oxford Rd., Greenville, NC 27858.
Arrangements are by Wilkerson Funeral Home and Crematory.
