Glenn Watson
Mr. Glenn Watson, 86, of Garner, died Friday, May 31, 2013.
Funeral will be Monday, June 3, 11 a.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
He was a Veteran of World War II, a member of the Shriners in Wilson, a former Wilson County Commissioner and founder of various family businesses. He was a member of Edenton United Methodist Church prior to moving to Garner.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Bass Watson; son Rick Watson (Brenda Womble) of Garner; grandson Jason Watson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters Jane Barbee of Raleigh and Etta Mae Batchelor of Lucama.
He was also lovingly known as Grandpa to his extended family; Beth Simmons (Ken), Noah Simmons, John Burke, Anna Burke, Abby Hupp and many others.
