Harvey Lee Joyner

Harvey Lee Joyner, 82, born August 28, 1932 to Harvey and Ella B. Joyner of Hertford County, passed away in his sleep at his home on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Joyner retired from the Town of Winterville in 1995 after 41 years, as the supervisor of the electric department. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara Hines Joyner for 53 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Michael Joyner and wife, Gwin and Joey Joyner and wife, Terri; and five grandchildren, Ashland J. Korn and husband, Patrick, Hayley, Philip, Lyndsey, and Adam Joyner. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the home of Joey Joyner, 721 Peanut Ln, Ayden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of NC, 505 Oberlin Rd, Suite 230, Raleigh, NC 27605 or to AseraCare Hospice, 112 W. Firetower Rd, Winterville, NC 28590.
