Hubert Bowen Obituary

Hubert Matthew Bowen Ayden - Hubert Matthew Bowen, age 79, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 4 at 11:00 A.M. at Farmville Funeral Home by Rev. Lenny Waters. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Bowen was born to the late H.M. and Kathleen Bowen on September 11, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Clovis Bowen. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and volunteering at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium.

He is survived by his son, Jack Bowen (Angela) of Willow Green; brothers, J.R Bowen (Debbie) of Willow Green and Ronald Bowen (Rose) of Morehead City; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements are by Farmville Funeral Home.
