Janet Taylor Starling

FARMVILLE - Janet Taylor Starling, 63, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 25, 2018. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
She was the second child of Joney Earl Taylor and Lorraine James Taylor and was born on June 1, 1954. She grew up in Farmville. There she graduated in the first graduating class of Farmville Central High School. From there she graduated from Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh. She was employed at Burroughs Wellcome in Greenville for several years before joining Farm Bureau Insurance Agency as an insurance agent for a few years. For the past thirty years she has worked alongside her husband in the office of Starling Enterprises, Inc.
Janet was a loving wife and mother who blessed us with her kind heart, sense of humor and sharp wit. Janet devotedly cared for her mother during her final years of life and more recently cared for her husband Johnny during his battle with cancer. During the last couple of days of her life she was blessed with the news of him being in remission.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband, Johnny and beloved Boston Terrier Boomer of the home. She is survived by her son, Matt, and his wife, Jessica, along with her grandchildren, Avery, Carter and Bennett. She is also survived by her brother, Mike Taylor, and his wife, Terry; her brother, Jay Taylor, and his wife, Brenda; nephew, Jon Taylor; niece, Ileah Taylor; brother-in-law, Phil Starling, and wife, Kim Barrow; nephew, Drew Starling; niece, Carrie Evans; brother-in-law, Mark Starling, and wife, Crystal; nephew, Gralen Starling; sister-in-law, June Starling; and friend, Blois "Boots" Woodard.
