Jeffrey McSorley Obituary
GRIMESLAND - Mr. Jeffrey Paul "Jeff" McSorley, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM and at other times at their home.
A native of Craven County, Jeff had made his home in Greenville for the last 33 years. He worked in Industrial Construction for many years prior to operating McSorley Plumbing for more than 25 years. He was an active member of Contentnea Creek Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Jeff will be fondly remembered by many and one who never met a stranger. He was avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. A man known for his giving nature, he enjoyed doing for others and often was able to employ others that were in need of work. A loving husband, step-father, brother and friend, Jeff will greatly remembered by the many who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Thomas McSorley, Jr. in 2001.
He is survived by: Wife of 22 years, Kay Bowers McSorley; Step-daugher, Wendy B. Crumpler and husband, Glenn; Step-son, J. Allen Brady, II; Step-grandchild, Sydney Crumpler; "Husband-in-Law", Jerry A. Brady, all of Greenville and Faithful companion and pet, Macy.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Pitt County Humane Society.

Kay, I am so sorry to read about Jeff's passing, It was a blessing that I got to know you both. You and your family are in my prayers. Give your children a big hug for me. Feel free to contact me if you need a friend, you know I have been there when I lost my childhood sweetheart. Kay remember that God is good and always there for us, even when we Don't know it A friend always !!!!

It can be so hard to face the time without your loved one, but the love of family and friends will help in this time. Both Ellen and I have gone through this, just remember your friends and family care and are there for you.
