Lewis Haddock Obituary

Lewis Haddock, Jr. Grifton - Lewis Haddock, Jr., 79, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in Ayden Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at Smith Funeral Service.

Mr. Haddock, son of the late Lewis and Dollie Haddock, was a lifelong resident of Grifton. He spent the majority of his life farming and truck driving. He was a longtime member of Little Creek FWB Church and the Laymen's League. He loved to garden, fish and especially loved his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Evans; and brothers, Troy and Jackie Haddock.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Turnage Haddock; children, Mac and Vickie Gaskins, David and Danny Haddock, and Tina Haddock; several grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Mary) Haddock, Warren (Connie) Haddock, Jeffery Haddock, and Doug Haddock (Sue); and a sister, June O'Mary.
