Norman Maddox Obituary

Norman W. Maddox AYDEN - Mr. Norman Wesley Maddox, 65, of 4526 Rusk Road, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at his home. Memorial service for Mr. Maddox will be held Saturday at noon at Holy Trinity United Holy Church located on 305 N. Skinner Street, Greenville. Mr. Maddox was born a native of Hillsboro County, Tampa, Fla. to the late Joseph and Olga Maddox on Oct. 5, 1943. He attended the public schools of Hillsboro County, and was employed with the State of New York - Department of Corrections Service. He served diligently with the State of New York until retirement after 25 years. Survivors include wife, Anna Maddox of the home; a daughter, Lynn Maddox; son, Norman Todd Maddox of Charlotte; brother, Joseph Maddox of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Natalie Seigler of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, Kristyn Maddox and Ciera Maddox of Charlotte, Josheema Oliver of New York, N.Y., Danielle Oliver of Clinton, Md., Derrick Spottswood and Jimmy Jr. Oliver, also of Clinton, Md.; two aunts, Doris Bryant and Lavern Collins; an uncle, Melvin Norton and wife, Vivian, of Tampa, Fla.; son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Gloria Oliver of Clinton, Md.; mother-in-law, Hattie Hooks of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Arrangements handled by Mitchell's Funeral Home, Greenville.
