Paula M. & Tony Gribble
GREENVILLE - Paula M. Gribble (August 5, 1948 – January 10, 2025), and Tony Gribble (December 23, 1944 – January 10, 2025), were tragically taken from this world together, leaving cherished memories and a legacy of faith, family, love, and service.
Paula, born in Brownsville, PA, was a distinguished nurse who devoted 39 years of her life to Coastal Carolina Community College. She served as Allied Health Division Chair and Nursing Department Head, shaping the future of many aspiring nurses with her compassionate mentorship and leadership. Paula was also a devoted Lay Carmelite, reflecting her deep faith and commitment to her community. Tony, born in Columbia, SC, was a decorated Vietnam-era Marine Corps veteran and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. His courage, resilience, and dedication to his country and community were unwavering. Tony's service didn't end with his military career; he continued to be a pillar of strength and support in his community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Kathleen Gribble, his sisters, Patti Jo Papetti and Karen Gribble.
Together, Paula and Tony were active members of St. Peter Catholic Church in Greenville, NC, and Infant of Prague in Jacksonville, NC. Their faith was a cornerstone of their lives, guiding them through their journey together. They relocated to Greenville to be closer to their beloved grandchildren, TJ and Jedrek, whom they cherished dearly.
Paula and Tony's lives were a testament to their love for each other and their family. They are survived by their son, TD Gribble (Dana), their grandsons, TJ and Jedrek, Paula's sister, Rita Verry, sister-in-law, Sherry Verry, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paula and Tony's Catholic faith sustained them in their later years as they looked forward to eternal life. Sunday dinners at their home were a cherished tradition, bringing family and friends together in love and fellowship.
