Michael Fitschen Obituary
Michael "Mike" was born to Allen and Mildred Fitschen August 11, 1947 in Red Wing, MN.
Mike married Brenda Donovan in 1968. They had two children; Destiny and Dawn.
In 1982, Mike married Kathy Renko beginning a journey of nearly 43 years together.
Mike enjoyed country life. He was an avid gardener for many years. Mike liked spending time with family and friends, fishing, biking, horseback riding, and travelling (especially to Slovenia twice to visit Kathy's family.) Mike also loved his dogs and dogs loved him.
Mike was employed 18+ years for Princeton Public Schools and 10 years at METO in Cambridge for the State of Minnesota. Prior to that Mike was employed in a variety of construction trades.
Mike is survived by his wife Kathy; daughter Destiny (Dennis) Engelkens; grandchildren Corey Engelkens, Matt Engelkens, Autumn Engelkens, Alex Engelkens, Damon Pine, and Saige Pine; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Dawn Fitschen Pine.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at Northern Lights Banquet Center in Pease, MN on Saturday November 8th, from 1-4 PM.
