Susan Lambert Obituary
WINTERVILLE - Susan Smith Lambert, 61, entered into the loving arms of Jesus on July 14, 2018. Susan was a native of Pitt County and graduated from Rose High School in 1975. She attended the University of Mount Olive where she studied music and was a member of the Mount Olive Singers. She retired from working at Capps, Bowman, Padgett and Associates dental office where she enjoyed her coworkers and patients.
Susan had a bright spirit that filled a room with radiant joy. Her passions included serving others, her grandchildren and family, as well as her dog, Stella. Her interests included the beach, mountains, music, and outdoor activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Burnice Smith and Elsie Mae Smith; and her mother-in-law, Emogene C. Lambert.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Roy Lambert; daughter, Emily Dawn Lambert, both of Winterville; son, Richard Adam Lambert and wife Nicole Ciro Lambert; grandsons, Henry and Zachary Lambert, all of Wilmington; brother, Jan Smith and wife Carolyn of Ayden; father-in-law, W.R. Lambert of Benson; and multiple nieces and nephews. Thanks to Laura Smith (niece) for sharing a special bond.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 7pm at Greenville Church of God, 3105 S. Memorial Drive, Greenville, NC 27834. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to METAvivor Research & Support, 1783 Forest Dr, #184, Annapolis, MD 21401 or to the Pitt County Humane Society, 3520 Tupper Dr, Greenville, NC 27834.

Sorry to leave you out of my original message Rick. You are a dear friend, remembered fondly. I don't know if this was a sudden thing or a prolonged disease that finally took her.
