Betty Larson Obituary

GALESBURG - Mrs. Betty E. Larson, 87, Galesburg, died at 12:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, in Rosewood Care Center.
She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Oneida, the daughter of Orville and Ima Magee Jordan. She married Harold M. Larson in Galesburg on May 17, 1953.
Betty is survived by her husband, Harold; two sons, Ric (and Alice) Larson of Knoxville and Tom Larson of Galesburg; one daughter, Sandra Kay (and Glenn) Olson of Glendale, Ariz.; one brother, Larry (and Linda) Hurr of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Reva Granberg and Martha (and Darrel) Devlin, both of Galesburg, and Connie Green of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Betty graduated from Oneida High School and worked for Steak 'n' Shake for 10 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bunco Club and many card clubs.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, with the Rev. Melva England officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
