David Moser Obituary
He was born on March 28, 1930, in Ladysmith, Wis., the son of Amandus Wellington and Cora (McGuire) Moser. He married Marlene Baxter. He later married Betty Thompson on April 1, 1961.
David is survived by his loving wife Betty; five sons, David (Reba) Moser of Prairieville, La., Brad (Diane) Moser of Placerville, Calif., Tom (Jeri) Moser of Placerville, Calif., Rick (Traci) Hughes of Galesburg and John Moser of Abingdon; three daughters, Judy (Richard) Schultz of Milwaukee, Wis., Lisa (Rich) Mathews of Lansing, Kan., and Pamela (Josh) Johnson of rural Monmouth; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
David worked as a welder at Bixby Zimmer in Galesburg and retired from there as the general shop foreman. His hobbies included woodworking, playing golf and playing his guitar. He was a die-hard Cubs fan and he enjoyed spending time on his computer.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will follow in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

I am sorry to learn of your loss so late. He was so helpful in trying to help me trace down genealogy links and genuinely interested. He seemed so willing and friendly. I'm sure he will be sorely missed.
