David Wayne Woertz
Altona, IL - David Wayne Woertz, age 56, of Altona, Illinois, died at 9:33 P.M. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his home in Altona, Illinois, peacefully after battling cancer.
He was born on June 17, 1964 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Larry R. and Marla J. (Rosenow) Woertz. He attended and graduated from ROVA in 1982. Surviving is his companion of fourteen years, Becky Yarolem of Altona, Illinois.
Also surviving are his children: Krystal (Patrick) Taylor of Scottsdale, Arizona, Katlyn (Kenrael) Binnion of Kewanee, Illinois, Steven Yarolem of Altona, Illinois, Megan Yarolem of New Windsor, Illinois, Matthew Yarolem of Kirkwood, Illinois, Jennifer (Tommy) Wells of Muscatine, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; and his siblings, Debbie (Wayne) Dowell of Abingdon, Illinois, Daryl Woertz of Kewanee, Illinois, Darla (Dennis) Miller of Covington, Tennessee, Dawn Olson of Kewanee, Illinois, and Daniel Woertz of Galva, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Liam Taylor.
He owned and operated his own cross-country trucking company, "DW Express" for many years, he also owned his own computer business, "Sparetime PC". He built custom computers for several people during his home time from trucking.
Cremation Rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
