Harry Blake Obituary
He was born July 28, 1944, to Harry and Dorthy (Allen) Blake. He married Susan Stegens on Dec. 23, 1994, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are five children, Penny (Blake) Hazen of Davenport, Iowa, Robert Blake of Peoria, Jeffery Blake of London Mills, Deryl Blake of London Mills, and Amber Burnett of London Mills; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Blake of Florida and Wesley Blake of Missouri; and one sister, Rita Filker of Yates City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Christopher Small.
Harry enjoyed fishing, picking on his guitar, camping and tinkering in his garage. He was a truck driver for River City Demolition for many years and always enjoyed driving a big rig. Harry was a huge family man and everyone loved him dearly. He will be missed by many.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Celebration of life will be 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at the Blake residence, 201 W Main, London Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family of Harry J. Blake. Corman Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
