Henry Boegen Obituary

GALESBURG - Henry A. "Hank" Boegen, 47, 725 Century Estates, died at 11:02 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 3, 2011) at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1964, in Galesburg to David A. and Shirley Jean Russell Boegen. He married Laura E. Swadley on Jan. 10, 1987, in Galesburg. She survives.
Also surviving are his father, David A. Boegen of Galesburg; two sons, James (and Kristin) Boegen of Bloomington, and Dalton David Boegen of Galesburg; a sister, April (and Alec J.) Marshall of Victoria; two nephews, A.J. Marshall of Moline, and Austin Marshall of Victoria; and two aunts and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jean Boegen, on April 16, 2007; a sister, Tina Marie Boegen; and grandparents Arthur C. and Marquerite Boegen and Leonard and Afton Russell.
Hank was disabled most of his life, but when he was younger he worked for Farm King in the tire shop and Knox County Nursing Home in maintenance. He loved music, old movies and riding motorcycles. He mostly loved to be with his family.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday (Sept. 9, 2011) at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 8, 2011) at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the family or to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
