GALESBURG - Teresa P. Lind, 60, Galesburg, formerly of Galva, died at 8:26 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
Funeral will be at 6 p.m. Monday, June 25, at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. The Rev. Bob Curry will officiate. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the service and private inurnment will be held at a later date in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Galva Congregational Church.
She was born Jan. 4, 1958, in Texas, the daughter of Antonio and Martina (DeLaCruz) Perez. She married Michael C. Lind on June 17, 1979, in Monmouth. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Rosie Zachemeyer.
She is survived by a son, Brent (Hannah) Lind of Galva; three daughters, Audra (Ryan) Holmes of Munster, Indiana, Stacey (Mike) Flynn of Naperville, and Jackie (Josh) Bainbridge of Peoria; eight grandchildren, Tobias "Toby" Lind, Jameson Bainbridge, Evan Flynn, Aaron Holmes, Colin Flynn, Michael Holmes, Theodore "Theo" Lind and Isla Flynn; her mother, Martina Perez of Galesburg; four brothers, Tony (Barb) Perez Jr. of Galesburg, Steve (Gloria) Perez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Rick Perez of Galesburg, and Alex (Angie) Perez of Racine, Wisconsin; and three sisters, Carmen (Wayne) Pierce of Monmouth, Lidia (Dean) Dudley of Iowa and Tammie Perez of Galesburg.
Teresa graduated from Galesburg High School in 1977. She had worked as a medical coder with her husband. In earlier years, she also had worked at Kewanee Hospital and at the Galva Medical Clinic. She was a member of Galva Congregational Church. She was an animal lover, especially of her dog, Reggie. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping and her children and grandchildren.
