Born September 14,1924, in Harwinton, Connecticut; he is the son of the late William and Estella Pregno. He attended the one-room school house in Campville. Fred also served in the Army during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart (with 3 clusters). He and fellow servicemen landed on “Utah” beach on June 6, 1944, otherwise known as D-Day. His family is very proud of his service to his country. The Executive Board and Membership of Freddie's HRG Family were deeply saddened to hear of his passing. As a founding member of our club Fred contributed many dedicated years of service to the club. All of his hard work was greatly appreciated as it greatly contributed to make our club the Great Institution that it is today.

Thank-you Freddie and "May God hold you in the palm of his hand"!
