CANAAN - Jesse L. "Coop" Cooper, 44, passed away, Oct. 23, 2025. Born August 15, 1981, in Waterbury, CT. He leaves behind his life partner, Amy Labshere and their daughter, Jasey Chevelle Cooper, who was his entire world and brought him endless happiness.
In addition, he is survived by his parents Lee and Beth (Maxwell) Cooper, two sisters Ann Cooper and Trisha Cooper, stepson Tristan Soule, and many extended family members.
A graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical H.S., he was a skilled mechanic and welder for Tru-Hitch in Torrington. Known for his creativity and talent. He loved spending time with his family and his dog, Precious.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at VFW, 104 S. Canaan Road, Canaan. Memorial donations may be made to the North Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 178, Canaan, CT 06018.
