MARJORIE DOMBROWSKI Obituary

DOMBROWSKI, MARJORIE JULIA HALL Marjorie Julia (Hall) Dombrowski, 82, of Winsted, loving wife for 61 years of J. Alfred Dombrowski, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2. Marjorie was born April 20, 1933 in New Milford, PA, daughter of the late Louise (Gunn) and Willis Hall. She moved to Winsted in 1941 and was a graduate of The Gilbert School, class of 1951. She also took accounting classes at NCCC. She worked for the Town of Winchester for 22 years, retiring in 1996 as Assistant to the Financial Director. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, the Winsted Senior Center, and the Daughters of Isabella. First and foremost, Marge was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She loved family, angels, and baking cakes for all occasions. While her boys were growing up, she attended all their games and activities. When her grandchildren came along, she continued to attend activities and was always their biggest fan and booster. “Attaway to go” could be heard across any field or gym. Marge is survived by her husband, Al, and her 5 sons (the 5 J’s); John (Andrea), Joe (Anna), Jim, Jerry (Cathy), and Jeff (Paula); 14 grandchildren, John, Stephen, Jenny Dallis (Mike), Joanna (Chris Unick), Michael (Denise), Julia, Kristen, James, Emily Lomuscio (James), Matthew, Jason (Stephanie), Andrew, Abigail, and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Stella, James, and William; brothers, Earl Keith and Franklin Hall (Marian); sisters-in-law, Helen Dombrowski and Mary Hall; along with many loved nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by her brother Ken, sister Marion, and grandson Peter. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 5 - 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Church, Winsted at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Winsted. To the Dombrowski family- My condolences on the loss of such a dynamic woman. Marge seemed to be everywhere in Winsted, always a positive presence. I remember from my years on the BOS how knowledgeable she was about the town's financial affairs. When the teenage J's were at Gilbert she always came to conferences, games, and school functions. I truly believe there were few in town who did not know her. She will be missed, but I know that her smile, enthusiasm and love will always be with you.
