LAMONT – Pearl M. Lamont, 89, passed away peacefully Tuesday, (September 28, 2021) at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield MA. She was the beloved wife of the late John Lamont, Jr. Born August 2, 1932 in New Hartford, CT, a daughter of the late Paul J. and Blanche (Fecto) Onion. She loved and treasured her family more than anything and dedicated herself to taking care of them. Pearl worked with her Duralite, Inc., (Riverton) family for over 25 years. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Carl (Richard), of Winsted, Lynn Halsted (Kenneth), of Riverton and Beth Jankowski (Stanley) of Pittsfield, MA; daughter in law Patricia Lamont of Dalton, MA; seven granddaughters, Sara Carl, Jessica Lamont, Hanna Halstead, Kathryn Kramer (Daniel), Gillian Pergola (Philip), Mikel Lamont and Olivia Lamont; and her most beloved treasures, two great granddaughters, Eowyn Pergola and Felicity Lamont; two sisters, Jenny Zima of Barkhamsted and Patricia Jordan of Canaan, a brother, Joseph Onion (Karen) Winsted; and several nieces, nephews who affectionately knew her as Auntie Toto, as well as extended family and friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, John Lamont III; grandson, James Richard Carl; and siblings, Pauline Stavnitsky, Paul Onion and Shirley Martinez. The family wish to extend their deepest gratitude for the love and care Pearl received from all the staff of the Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox, MA. There will be no calling hours. Private memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pearl's memory may be sent to Mount Carmel Care Center Activities Fund and/or Employee Fund, 320 Pittsfield Road, Lenox, MA 01240. Sincerest condolences to Pearl's family. She was very kind to me when, as a child, I had to hang out at Duralite with my Mom, Alice, and Jeannette. She used to make me laugh telling jokes and stories.
