P.J. was a sweet and caring person who brightened up any room he entered. I will cherish each high school band memory, Laurel Festival event, and Rose Sullivan's Shoppe adventure that I had with him. For each one always ended up with me smiling and laughing.

I consider myself lucky to have had to honor to work with and get to know Pete at Aetna. Pete exemplified the kind of person we all aspire to be. He was always willing to assist his co-workers and his knowledge was just phenomenal. My heart goes out to Pete's family and we will keep you in our prayers. We have lost a great friend, co-worker, and most importantly a wonderful human being. Pete made such a positive impact on so many lives and he will live on in our memories.

My deepest condolences to Gina, Lila and Peter's entire family. I was a co-worker of Peter's at Aetna and he was truly a special person. So incredibly intelligent and always helping everyone out, not matter what hour of the day or night. I will miss his sparkling personality, his words of wisdom, his family stories, and his smile. I have no words that can adequately express my deepest sympathies for the loss of Pete. I feel extremely luck to have worked with Pete while at Aetna, I have to say he was one of the Kindest, Smartest, people I have ever had the pleasure to know and work with. He will certainly be missed.

To the Fratini family, Pete and I shared a lot together. In the last four years, Pete was a champion and pushed me to get checked out for cancer due to some similar issues he was having. In my 37 years at Aetna, I have worked with him on many projects and he was a super person and coworker to work with. My prayers are with you and I will never forget Pete for what he did for me.

So many memories of you and PJ as teenagers at our house. We love you all so much. It may have been years but looking through photos with Patti last night reminded us of how much fun it was to be around you two. Even wayyyy back then. Please know we will keep you and all of your parents and most of all your Lila in our thoughts and prayers. PJ is a light and blessing to all who had the pleasure of calling him their friend. Gina and Family,, Having worked in the Aetna Data Center my whole life, I think I can speak for most everyone when I say that Pete was one of the best guys you could ever work with. In fact, I know that because working along side him never really felt like work. Not only will he be missed as one of the best resources you could ever ask for but one of the best human beings.. I'd known Pete for some time here at Aetna. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and ALWAYS willing to lend a hand no matter how much he had on his plate. His work ethic left me awestruck during a weekend business trip to Alpharetta, Georgia several years ago. He left us much too soon, but certainly not be forgotten by those blessed to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My heart dropped today when I learned the news. I had no idea Pete was ill, nor did he give the impression he was sick. Pete, although he would deny it vehemently, was someone who seemed well, superhuman. I can imagine Pete laughing at that, but that's how I saw him. He was intelligent, passionate, meticulous, funny, and caring. I've seen Pete stand his ground during crisis situations at work regardless of the egos that can sometimes dominate the conversation. The facts were the facts, and until someone could convince him otherwise, he didn't back down.
I can't think of anyone I've spoken to over the years who wasn't at least a little awestruck about the amount of information he had floating around in his head. Personally, I was amazed with the things he could create. I'd come in with some story about some project at home, and during the conversation, Pete would share something he'd worked on. His intent was never to boast or appear superior. That wasn't Pete. He'd appreciate what I'd done even if, by comparison, my example seemed the equivalent of a spastic three year old with a bottle of Elmer's glue and some Popsicle sticks.
The thing I remember most is his sense of humor and his laugh. If the proverbial ship was sinking, Pete was a good guy to commiserate with. Even though our relationship was primarily as coworkers, I will always consider him a friend.
